The Melbourne CBD is vibrant, full of energy and jam packed with incredible sights to see. However the fun does not stop there, just outside of the city there are some amazing suburbs that are definitely worth your time whilst you are in Melbourne.

South Yarra
Situated only 4-5km out of the city, South Yarra is a popular inner city suburb that promises not to disappoint. Full of cafes, bars, shopping and much more a quick tram ride on the number 58 which get you right to the heart of this bustling area. Toorak Road and Chapel Street are the two main areas which you need to get yourself to.

Down Toorak Road a couple of cafes that you must check out include café republic, SOS, and Darling. All of these are guaranteed to provide a delicious breakfast and a fantastic cup of coffee which taste even better after a lap of the Botanical Gardens. Chapel Street also offers some excellent café options in Middle South East and Rustica.

After some shopping and walking during the day there are even more options for you to tuck into a good meal. There are a variety of options depending upon your budget and what food you are in the mood for. For your more fine dining options check out 38 chairs or Yagiz, if you are after more of a casual meal, Miss Chu and Hello Sam are both great options. If you still have some energy head on down along Chapel St and check out one of the amazing bars that you will find on your stroll down.
